Like everyone else in the nation, and possibly the world, I feel unsure as to what the Trump Presidency means to the future. And like lots of people, I turn to Joy Reid to help me understand what is going on.
Each of the MSNBC evening and weekend programsoffer a particular view of the news. They are all good, but I think AM Joy with Joy Reid is among the best of them. She is thoroughly honest and never hedges on the issues. She invites relevant guests to discuss critical issues on her hour show. If all newscasters displayed Joy’s enthusiastic and professional attitudes, an informed public willing to face its many problems could be created.

Reid came to MSNBC in 2014 to host her own afternoon hour. Her show was cancelled along with the whole afternoon lineup in favor of a new format of fast-breaking news. Reid was chosen to appear as a MSNBC political commentator during the 2016 Election Season and she authored Fracture: Barack Obama, the Clintons and the Racial Divide published by HarperCollins. It was at this time she began hosting the MSNBC Saturday/Sunday morning slot where she excelled.

So what do we find in Joy Reid’s Dayology signature? Reid is one of those Women born on Sunday who push their way to the front of the crowd. UPDATE – In July 2020, MSNBC announced that Joy Reid will host The ReidOut, a new weeknight show in the 7 p.m. EST time slot vacated last March by Hardball host Chris Matthews. Since the 20th of the month she has been doing a bang-up job just as we would expect a person with a Sunday Day Ray to do and we look forward to watching her prime time hosting future unfold.
