The Kimmel family was increased by one last month. Unexpectedly little Billy Kimmel has become a symbol for everything that is right about the healthcare system we have now.
Billy Kimmel is the second child of television show host, Jimmy Kimmel and Molly McNearney, a head writer for the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Billy was born with a rare congenital heart defect which requires surgeries during his childhood to keep him alive. His story captivated the nation, particularly at the time when so many of us are concerned with the threats being made to deny health care to the needy. These are Kimmel’s exact words “If your baby is going to die and it doesn’t have to, it shouldn’t matter how much money you make.” With tears in his eyes, he added “I think that’s something, whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat or something else, we all agree on that.” Attempting to explain the life-saving benefits that his child had received, he stated “If you show up at a hospital with a brand new baby and the baby has a heart problem, the doctors at that hospital will do everything they can to save the baby. They don’t say, ‘We’ll take care of the baby right after you write a check.’ They try to save the baby’s life, and that’s true across the board in this country.” And that’s how it should be.
We do not know what will become of our current healthcare system. The Affordable Care Act, which is hardly perfect, is functioning to help millions of U.S. citizens but not everyone. It needs to be repaired not replaced with the cruel options of the American Health Care Act. Let’s hope that our leaders come to their senses. We cannot deny care to those who have new or preexisting conditions just because folks have not the means to pay exorbitant fees.

The dynamics of the Kimmel Family are fascinating. They show how common it is to find similar Day Rays and related Sun Signs within family units. They point out that Billy was born with a preexisting condition and is just one of millions of Americans who would lose their medical coverage if the Affordable Care Act is dismantled for political reasons.
