The Fixer Uppers

This is the fifth and last season for the HGTV home make-over show featuring Chip and Joanna Gaines. What will they do next?

Chip and Joanna Gaines have been “flipping” homes on their television show, Fixer-Upper, for five years.  They have taken dozens of tumble-down Texas properties and transformed them into a dazzling livable spaces.  While their taste and competence is unquestionable, what viewers really love about these is pair is their consideration for their clients, tender attitudes toward each other and love for their children. You can feel this warmth in every episode.

So as this show ends, another begins. This spin-off will be called Fixer Upper: Behind the Design and features Joanna’s expertise on design strategies, decorating and staging. More than that we do not know, but her unique style blends modern, industrial and farmhouse. She is unique in how searches out beautiful antiques from shops in local shops and  and commissions pieces of furniture that not only fit the space but delight the hearts the new owners.

Up to this point the Gaines empire is comprised of a television series, a real estate company, a retail store and a product line. Their plans also include running a restaurant in their hometown, publishing Magnolia Table. a companion cookbook. and promoting Magnolia Kids, a line of children’s furniture and accessories.  And while all this has gone on,  last January Joanna has managed to produce their fifth child, a little girl named JOY. Yes, they are very busy.

In The Blog, their monthly communication, Joanna describes their past five years as “rewarding, challenging, unbelievably fast and furious and nearly everything in between.” While they were simply doing what came naturally to them, the expression “continually active” is the cosmic formula for couples with Mars ruled OUTER selves as revealed by through Dayology analysis.

Chip Gaines

Chip Gaines was born on a Thursday and in the zodiac sign of Scorpio. This makes Jupiter his INNER ruler and Mars his OUTER ruler. People with the #56 THU SCO signature are open-minded and strategists, although they can internalize their unresolved problems. Often they find acceptable outlets for their complaints and insights through humor or clowning around.

Joanna Gaines came into this world on a Wednesday and in Aries. This makes Mercury her INNER ruler and Mars her OUTER ruler. Individuals with #37 WED ARI signature are bright and pioneering. They handle matters regarding details quickly and don’t usually look back. They are too busy creating new situations which can utilize their creative energy.

OUTWARDLY these folks get along very well. Both are born in Mars ruled signs. Their innate attraction comes from the fact that Aries is dynamic and Scorpio is magnetic. Energetically it’s a good match. They enjoy doing things together. They can perform their duties separately and in partnership. In fact they energize each other, even to the point of competitive dares.

INWARDLY their individual differences work well for them. Chip’s Jupiter provides a personal warmth and endearing humor for which he is well known.
