This young person may have done more to influence humanity’s attitude toward climate change than anyone alive. In 2018 Greta Thunberg staged a continual one-person sit-in on the steps of the Parliament building in Stockholm. For three weeks she has demanded that politicians take stronger action in dealing with Climate Change. After the election she will return to school for four days a week, and only demonstrate on Fridays.
Thunberg was recently nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by the Norwegian government. The honor will be announced this October and awarded in December. Whether she wins or not, her actions have urged thousands of students around the globe to peacefully take to the streets. To be quite frank it is their generation that has the most to lose, so rightfully they should have something to say about how things are proceeding.
Currently this young climate activist is setting sail on a solar powered boat to attend the U.N. climate Summit in New York City this September. When asked if she plans to meet with President Trump while she is in the U.S.A, Greta replied “Why should I waste time talking to him when he, of course, is not going to listen to me?” Her attitude regarding the recalcitrant figures of the world is one of complete dismissal. She would prefer to deal with those who watching, planning and working for a new and even better reality.

Greta Thunberg was born on a Friday in the zodiac sign of Capricorn. Venus is the ruler of her INNER SELF and Saturn governs her OUTER SELF. Together her Venus and Saturn create a very determined and devoted individual. Instead of working to achieve riches or popularity, all her efforts are directed toward saving the planet and pointing out our obvious human failings.
How did a child like this come to be? Well, it is her gift, as it is with so many children. to see past the ignorant and selfish motivations of adults. Her Venus innocence and Saturn practicality are reminding us that we cannot destroy the balance of the planet and expect to live healthy lives. She is like the child who opened every one’s eyes to the fact that the Emperor had no clothes. .
Climate Change is no longer a theory. It’s a dangerous reality that we must survive if nothing is done to set things straight. The question is why can’t influential figures put their differences aside for the greater good. We need clear individuals to fill the positions of power.
