When it is revealed, things usually turn south because few of us know how to handle these personal matters constructively.
How filmmaker Woody Allen molested his seven year old daughter and all that followed was the subject of HBO’s docuseries “Allen V. Farrow.” It attempts to prove or disprove the allegations of Dylan Farrow that she was sexually abused by her adopted father. Allen has repeatedly denied these claims as being ridiculous. This forthright documentary is definitely worth the watch.

So what is the problem with Woody? He’s not the first guy who has crossed the line with his child. Many males have committed this crime, wrecked their families and left everyone to pick up the pieces. Incest is ultimately a selfish act. Children can only be molested if they are objectified. That means that their personal rights, comfort, feelings and future are disregarded. They are viewed simply as a means to someone’s curiosity, power or lust. It’s really that simple.
