Newsweek magazine reports that Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) appeared on Ari Melber’s 8/20/21 MSNBC show The Beat. Her intention was to address the erroneous remarks made by Fox News host Sean Hannity about COVID-19 vaccines. Yes, this is a mouthful of media sources to split out but it has to be done.
Last Thursday Sean Hannity was driven absolutely crazy by the positive credit he was being given for endorsing the COVID -19 vaccines from a variety of mainstream media outlets. It’s true that much of the Fox News’ coverage is currently taking a pro-vaccine position due to the fact that the virus is hitting their audience hard. But it is Hannity’s political desire to create the appearance that he isn’t budging from his official anti-vaccine position, and he can be trusted to warn his viewers about dangers of the pandemic and what is NOT being done.
“I never told anyone to get a vaccine. I have been very clear. I am simply not qualified.” says Sean Hannity. “I am not a medical doctor. I know nothing about your medical history or your current medical condition. I think it’s inappropriate for me to do so.”
In her latest The Beat appearance Walensky clarified the CDC policy concerning boosters and breakthroughs as matters that are to be expected and handled as we move forward. Specifically she stated that the vast majority of those dying of the Covid are unvaccinated and that these vaccines are as safe as any other vaccines. She reminded us the 85 million people in the U.S.A are eligible for the vaccine who are not taking advantage of this opportunity to save their lives and protect others. Her points are the same that Dr, Fauci and other responsible figures are making. Sean Hannity is one of those being blamed for spreading dangerous misinformation.
