As of last week past President Trump finds himself facing the undeniable fact that not only is he a Republican candidate for the U.S. Presidency, but that he has been indicted of 91 felany counts in four criminal trials which are being scheduled for the relatively near future.
The Hush Money Probe concerns payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels by Donald Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign . He was charged with 34 charges of falsifying business records. Trump’s attorney, at the time, Michael Cohen oversaw the payment of $130,000 to Daniels in exchange for her silence about an alleged affair. Alvin Bragg inherited this case from his predecessor, Cy Vance Jr.
The Mar-a-Lago Classified Documents Case is being overseen by by Special Counsel Jack Smith. A Grand Jury brought 40 felony counts against Trump for mishandling of classified documents after his presidency. An update has been added alleging that Trump asked a staffer to delete camera footage at his prestigious Mar-a-Lago Florida estate in an effort to further obstruct the federal investigation.
The Special Council Jan. 6 investigation charges Donald Trump with conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding; and conspiracy against rights. This charge by Jack Smith lists six unnamed co-conspirators. Of the 1000 Insurrection participants identified, many were tried and are currently serving prison terms.
