Last week President Biden invited the whole Kennedy Family to the White House to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day. It’s not clear as to whether their most notorious living family member was invited to the gathering or not, but current candidate for U.S. President, Robert Kennedy Jr., was most definitely not in attendance.
Four of his siblings (he is one of 11 children) — former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, former Rep. Joseph Kennedy, Rory Kennedy and Kerry Kennedy — have collectively denounced his bid for the presidency, calling it “… dangerous to our country. Bobby might share the same name as our father, but he does not share the same values, vision or judgment.” Meanwhile, Bobby’s cousin — JFK’s daughter and U.S. ambassador to Australia, Caroline Kennedy — has similarly gone public with her disapproval, as has her son, Jack Schlossberg, who posted a video calling the candidacy “an embarrassment.” claims The Hollywood Reporter.

Since RFKJR announced his intentions to run as an independent presidential candidate, he has been batting zero with his family and the entire Democratic party. He made it clear that it was his choice to NOT be affiliated with either political party. He claims to represent the interests of all those who have discontents with either Trump or Biden. This segment of the population is not as large or active as Kennedy anticipated. Still he stays in the race as a third-party candidate.
At one time Kennedy appeared to be the liberal advocate that his family and the nation would expect of RFK’s son. As environmental lawyer he aimed to protect waterways, indigenous rights, and and renewable energy of the nation. He worked primarily with two non-profit agencies, Riverkeeper and the Natural Resources Defense Council. Amazingly and against the odds, he won a number of important legal battles against large corporate polluters.
Then Kennedy took a sharp right turn and began to question the scientifically disproven claim of the causal link between vaccines and autism. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic he began spreading misinformation concerning the COVID-19 vaccine and attempting to defame figures such as Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates, and Joe Biden. At the moment much of the family is again disturbed by the use of the famous JFK campaign ad in a thirty second Super Bowl RFKJR commercial. According to Kennedy this ad was created without his knowledge. “I’m so sorry if the Super Bowl advertisement caused anyone in my family pain,” Kennedy wrote on X/Twitter. “The ad was created and aired by the American Values Super PAC without any involvement or approval from my campaign. FEC rules prohibit Super PACs from consulting with me or my staff. I love you all. God bless you.”

Robert Kennedy Jr. was born on a Sunday in Capricorn. The Sun rules his INNER SELF and Saturn governs his OUTER SELF. Robert Kennedy Jr. was the third of eleven children born to Robert and Ethel Kennedy. In 1968 when he was nine years old, his father, the United States Attorney General, was assassinated while campaigning for the U.S. Presidency. The nation was shocked; the Kennedy family was devastated. The family had barely recovered from the unexpected death of his uncle, President John F. Kennedy five years before. Family deaths create unescapable problems for children.
The fact that Kennedy was named after his father no doubt created a powerful identification. RFK JR’s existence kept the memory of his dead father alive. Kennedy’s meeting with his father’s convicted killer, Sirhan Sirhan, also seems to have added more problems than it resolved. RFK JR believed that Sirhan was innocent, and a second gunman was involved. Add to that, Kennedy’s own father thought that a CIA conspiracy caused Jack Kennedy’s death. Any one of these factors could have contributed to a high susceptibility toward conspiracy theories.
Since the age of 43 Kennedy has suffered from a condition called spasmodic dysphonia, causing the muscles that generate the voice to halt for brief periods. He performs adequately in court and people listen to his “raspy voice” when he has something to say. Kennedy stated that he cannot stand to listen to his own voice, but he is not letting his handicap stop his expression of unpopular issues. While it is his right to think and speak as he chooses, Kennedy’s controversial views are standing in the way of a promising political career and family support.
