If ever there was ever a disturbing election season, this is it. Everyone I know just wants it to be over, so they can get back to their normal lives. This coming Tuesday is the day that ends our national discomfort.
In our last post, History of the U.S. Election Day, we pointed out that the U.S. election day always occurs on a Tuesday in November. The Dayology signature #31 is composed of two energies, Tuesday and Scorpio, making Mars the double ruler of this day. The warlike energy of Mars naturally feeds the combustible energy of our competing campaigns.
Let’s look closely at the unfolding patterns in the sky for November 8, 2016. The chart we are using was cast for 7 a.m. as the polls open in Washington D.C. It is interesting to note that a Scorpio Sun is rising on the Eastern horizon. This same energy combination is reflected in the #08 Sun Scorpio Signature of Hillary Clinton’s birth. We could stop right there and say that it is her day from the start, but that would be too easy.
Mars, the ruler of the day, is found in Capricorn, the sign of its exaltation. It is also located at the critical 29th degree. Both of these astrological situations create an incredibly intense and dire feeling about the day. Voters may feel compelled to vote, if not for the candidate of their choice then against the one that they view as most dangerous. It also shows everyone shifts gears on the next day, as Mars moves into Aquarius. Most U.S. citizens will feel reassured that democracy works, but some may be inclined to demonstrate their discontent with the election results.
The Dayology Analysis
|#08 SUN SCO|
|#63 FRI GEM|
Hillary Clinton – Democratic Candidate
Hilary Clinton was born on October 26, 1947. This birth date makes Sunday her Day Ray and Scorpio her Donald Trump – Republican Candidate . Together the two energies blend in Dayology Signature #63 creating the possibilities of a cultured and smart individual. The only indication of his Venus Day Ray is his “appreciation” of women. The fact that his Sun is conjunct unpredictable Uranus makes it difficult to know if he is a genius or just a malcontent. This combination of Gemini energies also produces the unacceptable prejudice and nasty remarks that are so difficult for the voters of this election to stomach.
In his birth chart we find Mars widely conjunct his Ascendant. This places Mars as the focus of his personality. While comfortable he acts like a very nice guy, but when criticized, he overreacts aggressively. Additionally he enjoys getting the upper hand in situations and uses the term “loser” very easily. With a loose trine between Mars and his Sagittarius Moon, these negative behaviors simply feel like “the rules of the game” to Trump. Despite all of his bluster, it may be difficult to find himself the loser.
