It is six weeks to the 2024 National Election. That’s when Americans will cast their votes for all the candidates who will look after our states, represent us in congress, and guide us from the oval office. As they say, “this is a big deal” and it’s clear that we have gotten a late start. The USA is unique in as much as we operate, for the most part, by a two party system which means that we vote by the PARTY PLATFORM that represents our personal interests or for the PERSON who appeals to our collective needs and personal desires. Sometimes its both!
We thought it would be interesting to view the two major candidates (Kamala Harris and Donald Trump) from a Dayology perspective and see how they measure up to the demands of the times. The personal character of Donald Trump is widely criticized and his public image is continually being revamped to keep him politically relevant. While his personal reputation is marred by legitimate accusations and he is facing criminal indictments, we do have the past Trump administration as a record indicating exactly how this “political animal” operates in office.
For the past four years Kamala Harris has been functioning “perfectly” as the US Vice President, meaning precisely that she has supported President Joe Biden’s agenda without “upstaging” him in any manner. Consequently not much is known about her “behind the scenes” work with the international community. If her past experience as a prosecuting attorney and committed U.S. Senator is any indication of her intentions, it’s a good guess that she will address the difficult issues of our times and defend those who are currently “getting a raw deal” in our society.

These two candidates are running on very different political platforms, but one thing Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have in common is that both were born on Full Moons. This particular position of the sun and moon creates high profile people who seek the spot light and creative situations. The variation in the individual “ascensions to power” of Trump and Harris comes from the fact that their luminaries are in different zodiac signs. Kamala’s Sun and Moon show up in the cardinal signs of Libra and Aries, while Trump’s Sun and Moon reside in the mutable signs of Gemini and Sagittarius. So not only is Harris younger and better educated, she more energetic but Trump not in good physical shape, known to millions of citizens and politically flexible.

The ruler of Kamala’s INNER SELF, Mars, is placed in the zodiac sign of Leo and the 3rd House. Spiritually she finds it easy to express her thoughts and often speaks directly from her heart. Her forceful nature finds several avenues of expression. A wide trine to the Moon in Aries and the 11th house provides emotional fire which she uses to defend the people of various groups. Mars is situated at the focal point of two squares from Jupiter and Neptune, showing that she is very idealistic and life may not always comply to her aspirations. A wide opposition from Mars to Saturn in Aquarius in her 10th House gives her a strong measure of self-discipline and personal restraint allowing her to push diligently ahead in what profession she chose.

Despite her portrayals in the press as a dangerous figure, she is actually very careful and respectful of families, hers and others. They came in to insert innovations, like the micro-chip, birth control and MRI technology, into the lives of all beings on this planet. In her case that previously mentioned Jupiter and Neptune act together giving her the positive outlook that push constructive matters physically into action.

The ruler of his INNER SELF, Venus, is placed in the zodiac sign of Cancer and the 11th House. Spiritually he enjoys considering the American public as his family. Personally he believes that he knows best, and those who do not see things his way are worthless. He desperately wants approval for having done well, and whatever he desires should be easily provided to him. The fact that Saturn conjuncts his Venus means in reality he struggles like the rest of us. And it shows that his spirituality is blocked by being too materialistic or hard headed. However an inconjunct from a Leo Mars in the 12th to Venus provides plenty of energy to project his personality.

These two energies are so similar that it would be difficult for Trump to discern between them even if it occurred to him to do so. His INNER SELF can be loving while his OUTER SELF is a “know it all.” Many see Trump as gifted because he succeeds despite set-backs of every sort. There are others who feel that his record of failures indicate an exploitive nature that is extremely short sighted. While he has wide interests, they are not exceptionally deep and his motivation is clearly emotionally rooted. Lately we have see that he enjoys being stirred up by the latest controversies despite their incongruities and it is not beyond him to use them to create unexpected openings for himself and his loyal following of millions.
Compatibility between these Two Signatures
Despite the clear differences between these two candidates, they do share some astrological features. Both have the planet Venus as their Dayology Signature ruler. For Trump Venus rules his INNER SELF and for Harris it guides her OUTER SELF. Ordinarily sharing Venus as a Signature Ruler helps both individuals because Venus is considered to be a beneficial influence. If Trump was more conscious he might gain some important insights from Harris. Her intention is to take the people of the world to a better place by reducing bias, hate and violence. Oddly Trump’s rough campaign could end up assisting Kamala Harris by providing examples of the human darkness that we should not allow to take further root in this shared world.
