Taking Out the Trash

American politics hit several new lows this week. The trend began at a rally in Tempe, Arizona where the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called the USA “the dumping ground for the world.” He was referring to the fact that our country is a “safe haven” for immigrants.

It has never been a mistake to say that we live in “a nation of immigrants.” Outside of those who have indigenous peoples as their relatives, all of us have immigrants in our family trees. It used to be that America enjoyed being called a melting pot of the world. We were proud of how each generation of new Americans become situated, educated and integrated into the overall fabric of our nation. Yes, it is true that our immigration practices could be improved, but it is also a fact that illegal immigrants are statically less likely to commit crimes than US-born Americans.

The Melting Pot was a very helpful concept
aiding Americans to live side by side. Today
there are more “types” of people to integrate
but the principle remains the same.

It is Trump’s general attitude toward immigrants that led Tony Hinchcliffe, the speaker at his Madison Square Garden rally to joke that Puerto Rico is “floating island of garbage.” Don’t these political figures realize that just as positivity always returns to its source, the same goes for negativity? And why would anyone of Latino descent support Trump now? Actually Newsweek reports that these remarks could turn out votes for Kamala Harris in the swing states.

The big question is why Donald Trump dumps on immigrants when two of his three wives are naturalized Americans, meaning that they arrived on the shores of our country as foreigners. All five of Trump’s children were born in the USA and are American citizens, but four of them are actually the “dreaded off-spring” of immigrants. Trump’s mother, Mary Anne MacLeod Trump, was born in the Outer Hebrides, an island chain of Scotland, making him the child of an immigrant. Is Trump secretly ashamed of his family pedigree, while he praises them to the sky?

This difficult question might sometime be answered by Mary L. Trump. This psychologist writes about the early years of her Uncle Donald. Her next book to be published is about her twisted family. Until then we must deal with Trump’s apparent histrionic personality disorder. For what reasons would he pose in a garbage truck except to get more attention for his nasty portrayal of immigrants as “trash” and his stated intentions to rid our country of its “garbage?”

Donald Trump was born on a Friday in the zodiac sign of Gemini. The ruler of his INNER SELF is VENUS and Mercury governs his OUTE SELF. He made a name for himself as a reality show host who turned politician. He was elected the 45th US President and is running for that office again. To say that Trump has repeatedly lied to the American citizenry is an understatement.

Tony Hinchcliffe was born on a Friday in the zodiac sign of Gemini. The ruler of his INNER Self is VENUS and Mercury governs his OUTER SELF. He is a stand-up comedian and comedy writer who created a stir with insensitive remarks at Trump’s Madison Garden Rally. He certainly has a gift for spotting the flaws in unfortunate situations and exaggerating them to the point of pain.

These two individuals share the same Dayology Signature. When people of the same signature encounter one another, they often recognize certain of their shared traits. They will admire the thoughts, feelings or actions that reflect well on both of them. The qualities in their own nature giving them difficulty will be dismissed, denied or condemned. In this case both individuals are direct, course and brash in their self expression. Both think they are very entertaining.

The #63 FRI GEM Dayology Signature combines two planetary energies VENUS and MERCURY. At its essence, it is LOVE and COMMUNICATION, but neither of these two #63 individuals are operating at this pure level. Instead it might be put DESIRE FOR ATTENTION, APPROVAL or GAIN through the use of CREATIVITY, SPEECH, WRITING, IMAGE and SYMBOLS. The range and scope by which the signature is utilized depends upon the true character of the individual. This signature produces both angels and devils, but always as accomplished communicators.

Donald Trump told ABC News “I don’t know him, someone put him up there,” meaning someone other than himself scheduled the comedian to appear at this headliner rally. He also stated that he didn’t hear “the remark” but stopped short of admitting that it was inappropriate. It has been established that President Trump never apologizes for being wrong. Washington Post Senior Editor, Laura McGann explained this failing in Let’s Stop Pretending Trump is Just Pretending, “that’s not to say that he’s insincere in his hatred of immigrants, or in his disdain for women, religious minorities, or any other group he’s smeared or attacked. The evidence is overwhelming that Trump actually believes what he’s saying. It’s not an act.” Trump is essentially a bigot!

Tony Hinchcliffe views Donald Trump as a “high profile” individual and has no problem earning “name recognition” through this loose association. For a decade he has hosted the live comedy podcast Kill Tony, a showcase of comedians taking turns doing one-minute sets. His own dark style style featuring insults has gotten him in trouble before. “I knew that what I had done was not wrong. It wasn’t even the worst thing I did that week,”  Hinchcliffe to told Variety regarding another very similar situation. “It was so dumbfounding to me because it was a joke, and my stance is that comedians should never apologize for a joke, should never stop working if everyone comes after them and should never slow down.” Hinchcliffe enjoys being nasty.

John Stewart, the host of the Daily Show has defended Tony Hinchcliffe.  “Now obviously in retrospect, having a roast comedian come to a political rally a week before election day and roasting a key voting demographic, probably not the best decision by the campaign politically,” quipped Stewart. “But to be fair, the guy is really just doing what he does.” As Americans we have freedom of speech and the right to express our feelings, but never to physically harm one another. Our democracy also allows us to vote our leaders in and out of office. So vote!
