What Did She Do Wrong?

The 2024 US election is over and the results are in. In January Donald Trump will take his place for the second time in the White House where he will attempt to unroll his MAGA agenda.

While Trump insists that he has earned “the mandate” to govern, he only won the election by several percentage points, which means politically the USA is divided almost 50/50. It could also be inferred that the nation is being torn apart and is in need healing. We have huge social equality issues that are not being examined. We are dragging our feet in updating our constitution.

The truth is that while America, like those of most democratic countries, changes their leaders on a regular basis, and we claim to be “one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” It is becoming clear lately that some US citizens desire these “freedoms” for themselves not for all. And it’s a fact that the last election was the most expensive in US history. Candidates of every level of government have been funded by the rich for the exclusive benefit of the rich. Forbes reports that there were at least 100 billionaire contributors in this last race, with more backers for Harris but Trump had Elon Musk. who beats them all with his $200 million battering ram.

Many of those who supported Kamala Harris (rich, poor and otherwise) are now asking why if she had the funds and represented the universally humane goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion why didn’t more US citizens give her their vote. She must have done something “wrong” and the political “experts” are digging through the results to discover the cause of her loss.

* She remained tethered to Biden and his “economic” problems. 
* She lost due to the fact that world incumbents are in trouble.
* She never fit the mold of a traditional “change candidate.”
* She lost because her political campaign was just too short.
* She did not break from Biden’s support for the war in Gaza.
* She appears to have abandoned the working-class voters
* She could not hold on to Black, Latino and young voters
* She lost for the same reason as Hilary: because she’s a woman.
* She lost because she was a lousy candidate.

Perhaps there is some truth to all of these concerns. But maybe THE WRONG QUESTION is being asked. It’s NOT what Kamala Harris did wrong, but why the selfish, fearful platform of Donald Trump appeals to so many Americans. Yes, there is a need for change. It’s a change of thinking and acting. It is not a disregard, abuse or elimination of targeted groups. Nor is it the ridicule and persecution of individuals who are handicapped or somehow different. And it is certainly not the banning of books or withholding of medical care. These are un-American acts. We, need to think of ourselves as one nation, undivided, and with care for everyone within our borders.

Kamala Harris was born on a Tuesday in the zodiac sign of Libra. Mars is the ruler of her INNER SELF and her OUTER SELF is governed by Venus. Females with the #31 TUE LIB Dayology Signature are personally assertive while being quite socially aware. Sometimes they are disliked for their insistence on being recognized but they are not deterred. Their males counterparts have exactly the same qualities but are generally are not held back in expressing themselves, but these guys can actually become tyrants if not held to commonly accepted standards.

It is the interaction between Mars and Venus that creates the distinctive personality of those born in this Dayology Signature. These particular individuals, young and old, have strong drives and enormous stamina. They also have the capacity to negotiate as well as push people around. They don’t actually wish to harm others, but they thrive on overcoming their own barriers. In the early stages of their lives, they can make big mistakes and go too far. Gradually they learn their lessons because life continually offers them a wide range of “give and take” experiences.

It was interesting to learn that Kamala Harris married Doug Emhoff, who was born with exactly the same Dayology Signature. They were born a week apart but did not meet until both were in their thirties. They were introduced through a blind date which they both agree worked out very well. About a year later they married and Kamala became the loving step-mother to Doug’s two children from a previous marriage. The two seem well-matched as far as each having their personal fields of expertise, but able to respect and support one another career aims.

Doug was absolutely the perfect Second Gentleman while his wife served as the first female US Vice President with President Joe Biden. Had Kamala won the 2024 Presidential Election, it would have a first for the both of them. Kamala would have been the first female US President and Doug the first First Gentleman of the nation. That did not happen as they may have wished, but there is always the chance that she will run for office again.

While surely a defeat in a national election is painful, people born on Tuesday do not focus greatly upon the past. They soon are up and ready for something new. There will always be compelling circumstances and demanding situations which catch their attention and give them focus. As to what exactly these events might be we cannot say, but both are wished the very best.
