Promises, Promises

Last week the American people elected the next President of the United States. That the majority of our nation’s electorate reelected a person who is known to be a liar, a cheat and a convicted felon is difficult to understand but ultimately must be accepted.

How is it that Donald Trump was able to push his way into the Oval Office a second time? It is clear that he is an individual of a coarse behavior, dwindling mental health and erratic decision-making. Despite all this Trump was given a vote of confidence by a huge number of well meaning, but very likely misinformed American citizens. This election was like no other in history, not only featuring a candidate with a “criminal record” but also a “brainwashing” of the electorate.

“While the rise of social media has made communication easier, it has also fueled the spread of false and misleading information—about everything from climate change to election integrity to the very shape of the planet we stand on. Social media typically lacks the oversight and safeguards of legacy media to prevent and correct false claims. Its algorithms and peer-to-peer sharing model are a perfect setup for misinformation to be shared widely, especially within the echo chambers that form online.” ~ The American Psychological Association

If all goes as expected the president-elect will be inaugurated on Monday, January 20th, 2025. The traditional “peaceful transfer of power” between outgoing and incoming presidents took place last week. While it is not clear as to what the two executives discussed, Trump was on his best behavior and Biden too, for that matter. And the meeting proceeded without causing any outbursts of violence as was experienced on January 6th US Capitol attack because candidate Trump would not accept the results of the 2020 election.

The day after this election Trump announced “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” to ecstatic crowd in West Palm Beach, Florida. He summed up his approach to a second term as such: “I will govern by a simple motto: Promises made, promises kept.” The Washington Post has assembled 282 different promises to keep track of promises made by Trump since the beginning of his political career. Our list is composed of Trump’s newest promises, those of which if enacted would have the greatest event on the US population in the very near-future.

There is no doubt that Trump intends for his administration to be different than any other. Even though he has disavowed knowing anything about the infamous 2025 Project, it is to be used along with a carefully chosen cabinet to keep Trump out of prison and in office until his death. What happens next depends on how quickly Trump keeps the promises he has made regarding this second term. Voters are pretty realistic about politicians forgetting about the commitments made on the campaign trail. This time we might hope that these promises are NOT kept.

Trump

Donald Trump was born on a Friday in the zodiac sign of Gemini. Venus rules his INNER SELF and his OUTER SELF is governed by Mercury. The manner in which Trump’s political and personal life reflects his #63 FRI GEM Dayology Signature has been previously discussed in his Dayology Birth Chart Delineation and in a wide range of Dayology Features.

Basically Trump is a great communicator but it is his intentions, even more than his style, that put so many people off. He is much more a performer than an actual politician, but this fact has not stopped him from making his way to the US Presidency twice. There are many in the country and the world who cannot condone his poor character and choice of political appointments.

Dayology.com is hardly the first online source to mention the personal failings of Donald Trump, Due to the fact that he has been granted another term as US President, it is appropriate to point out that his personal willfulness and purposeful negligence will be affecting all of us in one manner or another. The real danger comes from DARK side of his Gemini personality.

The Dark Gemini

In our search for the generally accepted DARK qualities of Gemini, we find those born in this sign described as childlike or curious as to what the world holds for them. Until they find their places as responsible members of society they tend to play games to test how far they can get using their intelligence and imagination.

As natural mimics Gemini Sun Signs enjoy testing out different identities. Consequently they may seem inconsistent or inauthentic. They switch from one interest to another in an effort to appear concerned about things going on around them. This erratic behavior keeps associates on their toes trying to figure out the next move.

While Gemini individuals see themselves as fluid and adaptable, others view this attitude as without morals and manipulative. It’s that nonconforming mental nature that gives them the reputation for scheming and plotting. The real question is can the individual living out the dark Gemini archetype be trusted to do what is best for everyone or only himself?
