Right in the Middle

The Ukrainian people are in a really tough spot. They understand that despite whatever they may say or do, the fate of their country is out of their control. They are caught in world wide power struggle and this conflict is being represented by a number of contradictory views.

President Volodymyr Zelensky makes light of the 130,000 Russian troops stationed around Ukraine’s borders with “We have been in these situations for eight years,” referring to incidents of Russian-backed separatist violence in eastern Ukraine and continual cyberattacks since Russia invaded the nearby Crimean Peninsula in 2014. NBC Chief Foreign Correspondent, Richard Engle, reports that the Ukraine people are surprisingly calm in the face of danger. This attitude can be attributed to their president’s attentive and distinctive leadership style.

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, swears that he has no plans to invade Ukraine. This unbelievable message is repeated by Vladimir Chizhov, Kremlin’s top diplomat to the European Union. The two of them boldly assert that the military buildup is simply a response to similar efforts of NATO along the Russian border. “Russia has no plans to invade either Ukraine or any other country. It’s a bluff created not in Russia, but in those countries that are now spreading this hysterical message, I would say, across Europe and the world.”

The Business Standard reports that U.S. Intelligence had determined in early 2022 that Russia was planning a major military offensive into Ukraine. And Putin has never had a problem arguing that the West has failed to address his two principal concerns. He wants a guarantee that NATO would never admit Ukraine as a member and the withdrawal of NATO military personnel from certain Eastern European member states. Putin must understand that neither of these demands are likely to be fulfilled now or anytime in the immediate future, still he pushes.

Ukrainian people prepare for war,
so they can protect themselves.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who recently met with Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Sweden, confirmed that the U.S. threatened Russia with a set of sanctions although its exact nature was not revealed. The Financial Times reveals that a bill is being created in the Senate to punish Russia with economic measures in the event of a full-blown invasion. These penalties would include severe countermeasures against the largest Russian banks.

In a recent briefing Jen Psaki, White House Press Secretary, delivered an ambiguous message, “While, of course, our preferred path is diplomacy — and we can’t predict where the mind of President Putin is — we’ve certainly seen aggressive actions and preparations increasing at the border.” And U.S. President Joe Biden assures the West that “What I am doing is putting together what I believe to be will be the most comprehensive and meaningful set of initiatives to make it very, very difficult for Mr. Putin to go ahead and do what people are worried he may do.”

Volodymyr Zelensky

Volodymyr Zelensky was born on a Wednesday in the zodiac sign of Aquarius. His INNER Self is ruled by Mercury and Uranus governs his OUTER Self. Those with the #47 WED AQU Dayology Signature are terribly bright and inventive. Mercury and Uranus are mental rulers. Still the SUN SIGN Aquarius has a very fixed or firm nature. It can be broad minded or take sides. And don’t forget that lots of radicals and revolutionaries are born with an Aquarius Sun.

Zelensky was born in Ukraine and earned a law degree before he switched to comedy. Playing the star role of the Ukrainian President in Servant of the People, a popular television sitcom, he quickly became a celebrity. It wasn’t long before Zelensky decided to run as the actual president and he won by a landslide. Now faced with growing voter disillusionment, he has replied that he “… cannot always become a psychologist for people, a crisis manager for someone, a collector who requires honestly earned money, and a nanny of the ministry in charge.”

Aquarians have the capacity to think out of the box, so Zelensky may be the man for the times. He understands that the old solutions to problems may not apply to new situations. In an honest effort to help his people bridge cultural differences, he has made remarks like “it is not important what a street is named because it is well lit and asphalted” and “there is no difference at which monument you are dating your girlfriend.” It’s easy to see that Zelensky attempts to focus on the the positive side of things and hopefully this will keep Ukraine safe from invasion. And if not, then the nation of Ukraine is in good hands.

Zelensky represents the Ukrainian people between two great world figures who happen to share an exceptional Dayology configuration called a Mutual Reception.
