The Split Screen Debate

The first, and maybe the last, debate of the 2024 Presidential season was held on Tuesday evening, September 10th. The question is how did the two candidates do in getting their points across to their supporters and to the voters who have not yet made up their minds.

Both candidates presented themselves in a different way than they have appeared in their conventions or in subsequent rallies. It seemed that each was worried as to what was going to be asked of them. The microphones were controlled as to discourage the participants talking over one another. There was deliberately no audiences, so that they would not play to the crowds.

No two presidential debates are the same. Each network designs a different backdrop. The newest innovation to the debate format is now the split screen format. It was valuable seeing how the two candidates behaved while the other was speaking. Trump just looked straight ahead, scowled and grimaced, while Harris responded with a wide range of emotions.

Now the debate is over and the focus groups have been queried, the general opinion is that Kamala did okay. She even sent some zingers his way. It’s so strange that even though she currently holds the second highest office in the land, there are so many who unable to picture her guiding the nation. They cannot see a mixed-race female functioning as president.

There are also many who do not want another Trump administration. They don’t want to deal with the lies he tells to frighten or anger the American people. He blames our immigrants for everything, even devouring household pets. He claims that women abort their babies at the very last minutes of their pregnancies. Honestly who could invent these atrocious ideas?

Summing it all up, Rachel Maddow of MSNBC claimed “I’ve never seen a starker contrast in presentation from two candidates in any debate in any type of contest in a political race.” Perhaps these split screen differences will help us to vote for the correct candidate this Fall.

Donald Trump was born on a Friday in the zodiac sign of Gemini. Venus rules his INNER SELF and Mercury governs his OUTER SELF. As it has been pointed out Trump is true communicator, but his subject is most often himself. He is inclined to twist the truth to serve his own purposes.

Kamala Harris was born on a Tuesday in the zodiac sign of Libra. Mars rules her INNER SELF and Venus governs his OUTER SELF. She is basically a fighter, but she defends those that need some representation. As the Attorney General of California she was extremely tough on crime.

Despite how how we view these two candidates, they do share some astrological features. Both have the planet Venus as a ruler. It works between his INNER SELF to her OUTER SELF. Ordinarily this arrangement helps both individuals because Venus is viewed as a beneficial planet. If Trump was a more conscious being he might learn some valuable lessons from Harris. However when blocked individuals do not participate wholeheartedly in their experiences, they lose out.

Oddly Donald Trump’s selfish and misleading behavior may end up assisting Kamala Harris by allowing her to use him as an example of the darkness that should not be permitted to take root in our society. Their Sun Signs, Gemini and Libra belong to the AIR ELEMENT. This bond places this political race primarily in the realm of ideas, beliefs, speculation and schemes.
