Surprisingly we seem to like certain foods on certain days of the week. At least that is how it shows up online. So how did these DOTW* (Day of the Week) tastes find find spots within our lifestyles? Perhaps they satisfy certain emotional needs that arise on each day of the week.
Gertrud Hirschi, who teaches Yoga in Germany, states in her book Yoga Every Day, that each day of the week intensifies one of our bodily systems. This “energy surge” comes from the specific planet that rules that day. It affects our appetite for certain nutritional items.
We may or may not choose to acknowledge the connections between certain foods and the days of the week, but most of us could do better with our current dietary choices. Over time our daily diets are becoming less nutritious and this trend is adversely affecting our health.
